Stuff Happens…
So, let’s get into a more serious topic.
First, let’s rewind back to my trip to Bali, and the first day I arrived to this wonderful villa in Canggu!
About the Villa! Holy moly it was amazing! This villa had two separate bedroom suites, and outside kitchen and a beautiful private pool!
After jumping in the pool for a little while, I decided it would be fun to go to this one store close to the centre of Canggu! Because I’m used to walking a lot, I decided to walk there as it was not more than 30 minutes.
Fast forward to coming home, it was the late afternoon and it was really dark. I was walking home, when suddenly I felt myself fall, as if I had been sucked by the earth into the underworld.
The jury’s still out on this, but I’m pretty sure this was the entrance to hell! I fell in this bottomless hole, and ended up getting pretty hurt and scratched up.
I got bruised, scratched, dirtied and could not even move one of my arms that basically caught my fall!
On the next day, because I still could not move my arm, I decided to go to the Hospital. Which leads me to my main point:

I’m from Portugal, and around Europe, I can use my European Health Travel card if I ever need to go to the Hospital or the doctor, however, in Bali, I cannot.
Because I know I am a walking magnet for tragedy, I knew I was not going to risk traveling to the other side of the world without travel insurance.
And thank the gods I did so, because if I had not, I would have had to pay all the hospital fees. True, the bill was not that scary (around 111 EUR), but it’s 111 EUR I was able to save and spend on some other cool activity around Bali!
This leads me to my other point, which is a new and exciting collaboration!
